This will be the final outing for LTSO in 2015 as two members take maternity leave to see out the year. But never fear, bookings for 2016 are already in the works and an EP is due for release in the interim to keep fans happy!

 

This concert will welcome back guest artists Katriona Tsyrlin on violin and Myfanwy Alderson on viola to further explore the fuller, richer sound of a full string quartet within the larger ensemble following their hugely successful 2014 collaboration. LTSO has planned a diverse program to take advantage of the extra forces available for this concert ranging from golden era tango of the 1940's and 50's through the more adventurous Astor Piazzolla tangos and on to Tango Nuevo from Beytelmann and Bragato.

 

In the beautiful and atmospheric setting of St Stephen's Anglican Church you'll be taken on a sumptuous and intricate journey by these 8 exceptional musicians, all underpinned by that irresistible rhythmic Latin drive. An event not to be missed!
