La Tin Shed Orquesta Story

From luscious traditional tango to virtuosic Tango Nuevo and through to modern Jazz and Latin styles this six piece ensemble is supremely flexible. La Tin Shed Orquesta's love of dance music and serious concert music alike lends itself to many and vaired ways of engaging their audience from formal concerts to live music venues and from private functions to street performances and festivals.

They run their own concert program each year finding interesting venues to showcase their work and have also played at favourite Melbourne venues such as Paris Cat, The Wesley Anne, and Open studio. With Piazzolla, Cosentino, Bragato, Lynch and Zeigler on their list of favourites you'll have no trouble imagining yourself in a Cantina in Buenos Aires.

La Tin Shed Orquesta was established in 2007 as a dedicated Piazzolla tango ensemble. Since then the group has gone through a number of reinventions, eventually arriving at their ideal ensemble make up of violin, flute, cello, bass, guitar and bass in 2013. They take full advantage of the myriad of tone colours at their disposal yet remain small enough to enjoy the flexibility and finesse of a chamber ensemble. This year's concert program
